Hello! My name is Grant42, and I am the former Head of Site for SMAC. I was given Head of Site when SMAC was first created because I made a very long SMAC entry application comment, detailing all of my CP warfare endeavors. I was involved in CP for about 5 years, and CP warfare for over 3 years, but I retired from all CP warfare related things on July 1, 2011.

I started my own army, the Cpaviators, in June of 2010, and we were extremely successful in the time that we existed. In only four months, I built the Cpaviators up to a 30+ army, which had it considered for a CPAC Top Ten spot (though CPA doesn't exist anymore). I was also involved in TG, ACP, IW, UMA, CW, RPF, AR, and NW. I was back in my first army, Team Gold, but then I retired from everything. I still check up on SMAC occasionally to make sure everything is running smoothly.

I really hope that you enjoy all of the hard work that SMAC does for the people of Club Penguin. Cheers!

My current WP blog is a political podcast found at this link. You should definitely check it out if you're in to politics!

  • Hello, I'm Pungy1234, Head of Small-Medium Army Central! I founded and currently lead the Global Defenders, one of CP's better armies. My influence in CP warfare expands that of the Global Defenders and SMAC. I formerly worked at Club Penguin Army Central (CPAC) as a philosopher and currently work at Club Penguin Army Accuracy (CPAA) as the Secondary Head. When I was first hired to SMAC, I considered it as the highest honor I had ever received. I was so excited and quickly rose through the ranks of SMAC, and landed myself a Head spot.

You can contact me at: pungy1234@gdarmy.com

  • Hello, my name is Adro3. I first joined CP Warfare in around February 2010 when I stumbled across a Team Gold recruiting session on CP. Since then I have been in many armies including ACP, TG, GD, Sun Troops, SWAT and Pirates. The first news site I ever worked for was CPAC but after a while I left as I couldn't be as active as the heads wanted. However, when Splasher was head he made an applications post. I was deserate to ge back to reporting and tankfully, I was accepte. After about 6 months I was made Head Reporter and not long after, made Secondary Head by Pungy. Finally after a over a year and a half of being part of SMAC I was given the Head spot along with Pungy1234. My email is: rossadam@hotmail.co.uk

SMAC-Down IV Champions

Large armies, click here for the first ever CPWI tourney!

I apologize for this being a couple of weeks late. A lot has been going on with SMAC recently, as many of you know. No matter, here is the post declaring the Champions of the Fourth Annual SMAC-Down, and that army is…

Medium Top 5 9/2/2012

Welcome to the medium top 10, our first in a while at SMAC. Due to the long streak without a medium top 10, I would like to state that this top 10 will use results from Saturday, August 25th to Saturday, September 1st. Sadly, there were not enough armies that could make the top 10 this week, due to poor sizes from armies, so unfortunately, our first medium top 10 in quite some time will actually be only a top 5.

How Can CP Armies Apply to Real Life?

Obviously, you can’t put your Club Penguin Army Career on your job resume, but some of the stuff you learn in armies may actually help you in real life. I know it’s a shocking idea. If you can’t think of how, let me enlighten you.

Results Needed

Alex Edit: Due to the large number of complaints, the no use of chat rule will be abolished for the next two rounds. Seeing as there is only 1 battle left without results, we will rescheduel that battle and Round 3 battles will come out with it. I’ll also update the bracket soon.

Doritos Declare War on Sky Troops- The Battle of Snowfall

SMAC-Down IV Brackets*Times/Dates Out*

Alex 3rd Edit: Sorry for the inconvenience to the Wizard Warriors and Water Vikings, but the Wizard Warriors vs. Watex Warriors battle has been pushed back to Monday and the WW winner vs. WV battle will be pushed back to next Tuesday. The reason for this is because when I posted the times, CPAC had no information out for the Legends Cup, so I did not check them for schedueling conflicts; however, they did not check for information on our site about armies in the Legends Cup. Also, while I am editing, I apologize to the Dark Blue Rebels. The Miners signed up before you, so they get a shot at being in the tournament first. If any opening occurs during this tournament, we will be glad to let you join in.

The Top Ten: Terrible or Terrific?

Yes, the alliteration was intended. If you don’t know what alliteration is, well, sorry. Today, I’ll be talking to you about….*looks at card*….. ah yes, the Top Ten, or rather, tens. Are they really as bad as everybody says they are? Or are they great, as others seem to think. Let’s have a look and see, shall we?

Top tens. They’ve been made since news sites began, but the most famous for having a top ten and the site believed to have started some of the “biased” or “perfect” top tens would the Club Penguin Army Central(CPAC, if you don’t know). The top tens of today are basically the order of which army is doing better, usually based on size with the number 1 ranking being the best, and a short paragraph(if that) on how and what the army is currently doing. They have upsides and downsides, but do the downsides outweigh the upsides enough to stop doing them? Or do the upsides outweigh the downsides? I plan to find out today.

Bias

A major problem with top tens is not in the top ten itself, but in the viewers opinion of it. Many people now believe that if a person mentions an army that they have a high rank in, that army doesn’t really deserve it. Many will say “My 6 man army deserves 10th small more than your 7 man army!!!shift11!”. This creates problems between the viewer and the writer. Sometimes, people quit top tens or reporting altogether because of things like this.

Wars and Feuds

Of course, the top ten can cause many feuds between leaders of armies. These feuds have and will many times lead to a war between the two armies. These are usually over a position in the top 10. A good example of this was(and yes, I know these are large armies) when CPAC ranked the Night Warriors over the ACP. The ACP immediately began attacking the Night Warriors in order to get back their spot of #1.

On the other hand, this keeps armies active, if they are fighting for a position in the top 10. Top 10s have kept CP Armies fighting for positions and kept them active for quite a while.

Gaps

Yes, I had to put this one in here. I was considering making this a whole different post, but here’s the big question for me these days.

Are the Small and Medium top 10 one and the same?

Well, when I was younger in terms of CP Warfare, Sky Troops(He mentioned his army! biazed!) and the entire Tri-Army Alliance went to war against the Parkas. The Parkas were considered medium, but weren’t in the medium or small top 10. They were kind of stuck in between, getting 10 at events. Now, let’s look at both of the current top 10s to determine whether or not this is true.

In the SMAC medium top 10, the Global Defenders hold the #1 spot. In their picture, they look as if they could have around 14-15 in it. This is good size, considering the depression CP Armies are in.

However, the #1 tied small army, the DCP, have 14 in their picture.

Similarily, the #2 medium Water Vikings

and other #1 tied small Ninjas have aroun 11 in their pics.

So it would seem that, as of now, the medium and small top 10s are about equal. This could change in the near future, but this is as of now.

Conclusion

So, it is time to make a conclusion, and mine is that the Top 10 is Terrific! Although it causes many disputes, it keeps armies active and alive.

Let me know how you liked this post! That’s all for now. cya!

Black Panthers: Where have they gone?

The Black Panthers, and army almost everybody has heard of, seem to have dissapeared. The most I could get on their history was a post made Ajk 89 on February 8, 2011. Entitled “Creation of BP”, it said:

Bp was created January 30, 2009 by Supperz and Smeeble, soon with Pie joined as leader. By January 31, Bp had 15 troops and was well on its way, on January 31 we also got our allies, the Nachos.

This is a brief summary of how the Black Panthers began. All week, I was begging for Lots of Pie (my bff in real life) to start an army with me. He really didn’t like the idea of it, but since we carpooled together to school, I had a slight advantage. After days of asking, he finally cracked and said that he will make a site on the weekend. But he said that he would end it if we did not gain 15 troops by the end of the week. I agreed to that and eagerly waited all week long. So I went on club penguin to Mammoth (because I didn’t really care if ACP caught me back then XD) a few times and thought of names for the army which epically failed.  I thought of names such as Tacos (which recruited many people on cp but apparently it was taken by about two years XD), Wood Warriors, and Burritos. Then I thought of something. A few days before that, I was watching a show called The Most Extreme on Animal Planet. Basically, it was a countdown of animals having specific qualities(such as speed, consumption, size, etc.) from 10(the least of that quality) to 1 (the best at that quality). I don’t remember what quality it was, but the black panther was #1 in one of the episodes.  I remember seeing the strength and agility of the black panther and decided to make a uniform just like it. I then started recruiting and chanting “Join the Black Panthers of Club Penguin”. After 15 minutes passed, I was amazed to see about 30 people dancing and yelling the same thing. About ten minutes later, I saw one Nacho come on, then another, then another. I was thinking to myself, “What are Nachos doing on an ACP capital?” Then Smeeble(one of my best friends at that time) pced me and I still remember today what her exact words were, “Supperz, the Nachos are going to have a full out war with you.” I was just completely shocked. Apparently I was on White House instead of Mammoth!! I quickly told everyone on cp to leave and they left.  Then I went on Nacho chat and apologized to them for recruiting on their server. Person thought it was hilarious that I thought I was recruiting on Mammoth and he said it was no problem. So I asked Smeeble to join, she agreed, we made the site, and here you are reading this entry. And to think, this only happened in one day!

~Supperz1 January 30, 2009~
February 15, 2009 Bp won there first battle agents the Nerd warriors, and deciding Bp’s uniform. Through that, Bp just kept growing and growing… Untill it hit the top ten.

July 8, 2009

July 26, 2009 This is the best date I can find where we were mentioned in the top ten. This is when Bp went big… where Bp made it. This is where we belong, this is where we went and it was the biggest accomplishment for Bp..

August 29, 2009 Bp tied with ACP Echo division in a battle, a huge accomplishment.

November 22, 2009 Supperz retired and Bp fell greatly, his retirement soon followed by King Kinz

December 16, 2009 A mistake was made, Bp plummeted to rock bottom, nothing but dust left… and yet we’re still here. Server owning was made in Bp.

January 21, 2010 Bp started coming back in small numbers, but started growing again

Ash – People say BP has changed, But sometimes you need change, Good or bad, its the fact that it changed that were still here. the world changes constantly, and we need to accept the fact things are going to change, we can’t bring them back we can’t cry over things that happened in the past, We can just try to make this a better future, There is no Old or new BP, theres just BP. No difference, we win some, we lose some. Don’t worry about the past, Just enjoy the ride into the future.

Credit to smeeble.

October 2010 Still growing larger and larger

February 4, 2010 Bp made it number 1 SMAC top ten, soon to climb into top ten again.
This is Bp’s history shortened, after three years… We’re still here.

We grow, we fall, we rebuild, and we’re still here. It’s amazing to see how long an army everyone turned their back on and left for dead can grow and make a come back to this extreme. Bp, if anything I’m proud of you… and some day I hope we can be like we used to be. 5 In CPAC top ten, Strong, and over all.

Unstoppable

This is pretty good, for a brief history. After this, the Black Panthers had more good events, and became CPAC’s Rising Army of the Week. This was their last picture that remains on the site.

Pretty epic, if you ask me. The Black Panthers were tangling with the well-known Water Vikings for the #1 small spot for a while. They entered the SMAC-Down II tournament, at which I was the judge of their first battle against the Red Warriors. 1 Black Panther showed, but they won because no Red Warriors showed. Things were not looking good for the Black Panthers at this point. In round 2, they were against the Sky Troops, in which they failed to show. This was the last event they had posted on.

Now, the Black Panthers appear to be dead. The last post on their site was the retirement of Ajk 89, made May 15. The post before that was made a month earlier, proclaiming that the Black Panthers had no reason to line anymore. It appears that the legendary army of the Black Panthers has died, and it is sad indeed.

That is all I have on the Black Panthers. From Glory to Dead, this army has been through it all. But, alas, all things come to a close, as did this. Until next time, cya!

~Alex Cone
